Make the best Taylor Swift Party Plan
I have happily turned my daughters into major Taylor Swift fans. They have had the pleasure of jamming out to her music in the car and around the house. Naturally when it came to deciding a Birthday Party theme we quickly started to plan a Swiftie Sleepover.
Prepping
Decide on a Party Vibe
Taylor’s music spans over various decades and includes all different vibes of music. Are you going for an Eras theme to include bits of all her music or a Fearless country vibe, vibrant Lover, or hard hitting Reputation vibe? Here are some ideas on how to throw a Taylor Swift party.
Guest list
We planned a sleepover which included inviting 10 girls (I know I agreed to way to many little girls staying over.. it was a next rough the next day hehe). Not all girls decided to spend the night but still stayed late and enjoyed pizza, cake, and all the Taylor activities.
We then sent out invites. Etsy has adorable Taylor themed invites. Digital text and email invites are helpful. As a busy parent party reminders sent to my phone are always welcomed.
Swiftie Party Decor
Taylor’s vibe is all about love (some heartache), good vibes, and having the best time with friends. You can easily decide on some high impact accents to achieve the “good vibes” theme. Anything that sparkles and glitters will do the trick to have the best Taylor Swift party.
For the Party Space
White twinkling lights are one of the easiest ways to set the party mood. Drape over curtain rods or along the mantle for the super star effect. A Disco ball or strobe light would also make the setting feel like a concert. We rented the Era’s Tour Movie and turned off the lamps and jammed out with various disco lights.
Extra Pops of Taylor
We found these great Taylor Album Posters. (see link above) We hung around the party space and were great extra touches of feeling like we were in a concert space. My daughter reused and hung them up in her room.
A large banner wishing the little Swiftie a Happy Birthday was the perfect center piece in our living room.
Sparkly Accents
Balloons are another easy and great way to step up your party decor. Amazon sells all kinds of balloon arches and kits. You could easily set up stations with each albums colors around your space or go for the glitzy theme. We went with the Lover theme and purchase blues, pinks, and purple. Disco ball balloons were fun and easy to hang up.
Tay Tay Games and Activities
To keep your guests entertained activities and games are a must. Here are some fun ways to keep the party going. I’ve linked above some of the items we used for Taylor inspired outfits and makeup.
Throw a Mini Concert
Get your playlist ready and bust out a karaoke machine. Play everyone’s favorite songs and take turns singing along with Taylor. Include an inflatable guitar to rock out with.
Outfits and Accessories
If you are hosting younger Swifties having outfit options is a fun activity. Have Taylor concert inspired clothing and accessories for your guests is a fun way to play dress up. Sequin skirts, bedazzled tops, and anything with fringe are perfect . White tees with makers is a fun ways to relive your “You Belong with Me” song.
Accessories are a fun way to also keep busy. Glow stick necklaces and bracelets are cheap and fun when lights are dimmed. Another hit were light up clip in hair strands. They had various colors and blinking options.
My daughters love anything makeup related. We set up a make up station for girls to help each other get dolled up. Glitter lotions, colorful makeup, and temporary sequin tattoos were available for guests to use.
Photo Opt
Lastly a photo station setup is a perfect way to take home memories of the night! This may been the girls favorite part of the night. A life size poster or cut out of Taylor was a huge hit. Girls were able to pose with her and be silly. Once they were dressed them loved posing with her. Special friendship memories to keep for the years to come.
Party Like Taylor Swift
