Daily Mom Hack Tasks
- Kids have their own alarm clocks from school, sports, and church. Start the habit early and give them their own sense of responsibility.
- Pick out clothes the night before for the day. One thing to figure out early in the morning.
- Also buy the same socks in multiple packs. Some always go missing, then you can mix and match with what you have.
- Keep socks and shoes in the laundry room. A hanging shoe organizers are easy to use to store each child’s shoes and socks for the day.
- Start a chore chart early. Give age appropriate daily chores and rewards if you choose.
- Sort toys in storage cubs by toy category. Dolls, cars, small figurines, crafting, stuffed animals, etc. Easy to find and store.
- Keep an under the bed “treasure box” storage bin with your child’s favorite knick knacks. They can easily pull out to play and put away.
- Get everyone involved in cleaning chores. Little ones like to help. Earlier you start the more likely they will be willing help out. Make it fun!

- Double batches of soup, sauces, chili, smoothies for later. One prep for multiple meals later.
- On Sundays cook 2 meats since the oven is already is on. Serve one for Sunday dinner and reheat the other for the next day’s dinner.
- Cook once eat 3 ways. Make a large batch of a meat or soup and eat varies ways. Like a roast or chicken for sandwiches/wraps, casseroles, quesadillas, and salads. Serve soup with bread and another day with grilled cheese.
- Make large batch breakfast burritos in advance. Wrap separately and reheat.
- Make ahead breakfast sandwiches. Wrap in tinfoil and freeze for an easy breakfast.
- Cook bacon on tin foil in the oven 400 degrees at 15 minutes. No mess and easy clean up!
- Freeze extra herbs in ice cube trays to use later.
- Buy produce or bakery items that are on sale for quick sale and then freeze.
- Cook ground beef, lay on parchment paper, freeze, add to a freezer ziplock bag to use for future meals.
- Cooked chicken, dice and separate into smaller bags to freeze for soups and casseroles.
- Sub applesauce for oil and butter in baking recipes.
- Toss in frozen veggies to cool down hot soups and stews.
- To keep fruit and vegetables fresher longer place a dry paper towel in bottom storage container. Once moisture is released and towel is damp change out for a dry one.
- Citrus on apple slices to keep them from browning.
- Boil eggs with 1 tsp of salt, shells peels right off.
- Use kitchen scissor to cut baby food and smaller pieces for toddlers.
- Pizza cutter to cut up pancakes, french toast, and sandwiches.

- Keep all kids snacks at kid level in a specific container. They know it’s where to go to get their own snacks throughout the day.
- Store bowls and cups in a cabinet or pantry shelf that is in reach for kids.
- Freeze kids lunches (deli meats, sandwiches, yogurt). By lunch time they will have melted and still be cold.
- Freeze water bottles to use for coolers to keep food cold, boo boos, or to use once melted.

Organization
- Keep a donation bin in each kids room. Keep in the closet or playroom (I suggest keep up high, and out of sight. Kids won’t take any items out to try to keep)
- Store a basket or bin in kids closet for clothes too small. Easily toss items kids outgrow. Have a tub or bin also in closet with the next size up.
- Have a designated Goodwill tub in garage, once full drop off at Goodwill.
- Use an empty laundry basket or picking up all stray items around the house throughout the day.
- Have a shoe, jacket, and backpack drop zone in the garage with cubbies or bookshelves. No dirt tracked into the house and all in one place ready to go for the next morning.
- Never leave a room without taking something upstairs with you. Cuts down on clutter around the house.
- Shoe bin by the door for kids shoes. They know where to find them when heading out the door.
