Here is my ultimate 90’s Family Movie Night List! Ok I must say this is a 90’s (ish) which includes some early 2000’s movies as well. These movies were so good back when we were kids you will want to watch and share them with your family.
We love having a Friday or Saturday night family movie night. By the end of the work and school week a pizza, popcorn, and new movie to watch is what we all need to relax and decompress from a busy week. We like to make it an event. Pull out the popcorn maker, set up blankets and pillows, sometimes add some twinkle lights with a fort the kids made.
What to choose from the 90’s family movie night list?
The worst part about the night though is deciding what to watch. Come on we can all say we have argued with the family on trying to figure out what to put on the tv. My kids always want a Disney that they have watched over and over again which is usually a princess singing some sort of song every couple of minutes. No Thanks, it’s time to switch it up with some 90’s Family Movie night list favorites.
This post includes all of my favorite 90’s Family Movie night picks. I must say researching for movies for this was lots of fun! So many of these movies brought me back to my childhood. I can still remember watching some these with my best friends on repeat (looking at you Now and Then, what 13 year old girl in the 90’s didn’t love that movie :)) There is just something special about 90’s family movies. The plot isn’t complicated, involves some sort of slap slick comedy, and usually ends with a good wholesome message and moral.
It’s really fun to rewatch and experience these movies with our children. Now they usually ask for a new movie from ” mommy’s kid days”. š I hope you all enjoy this list and can find something both kids and parents can have fun watching a movie together .
